I shouldn’t have left you with out that many updates… BUT.. these past couple of months have been a BLESSING for yours truly.

With blessings comes less and less time to focus in on my random rants that used to go down on brokenboujee.blogspot.com. But its all good… I have a new home now.. and I am madly, deeply, obsessively, psychotically in love with it… its something I put a lot of time into, and to see it come to life is an indescribable feeling.

Oh enough sappy shit already…

Sooooo lets see.. where do I start..Updates eh?!

Proton:

Well.. as some of you may know I manage a group named PROTON , and its our ONE YEAR anniversary of working together… yes ONE WHOLE YEAR.. I have to thank Ree DelaVega for the intro a year ago. Don’t know if she knows this or not.. she changed three lives with that meeting.. so thanks to her.. we are here now.. working hard. I have to admit.. the first couple of months working with the boys was HELL. Egos, demands, and pride got in the way many times.. but sometime in August.. it just clicked. We all woke up on the same page. and we hit the ground running since. We have been blessed with many opportunities and creating a nice little buzz in some labels offices at the same time. As exciting as that is, I’m not stupid and the guys aren’t either… we waited too long.. and they have worked too hard to jump the gun and take anything on the table… my thing with them is.. this buzz that is surrounding them, is solely off one project and a compilation CD. We have not even begun our grassroots marketing….. I don’t want to lock into a situation not knowing if we could have done it on our own… We officially have a lawyer [ so fuck with me and my dudes, she’s a BEAST, she will have your ass running around in circles], and working with a publicist out of NYC [ shes sooo amazing, I’m sooo blessed to have her in our lives].. I’m also working with a very special person, someone I’m learning the ways from… my secret weapon. So to him. “Danke Shein”. Ok.. so 2007 was good for the P-R-O-T-O-N, 2008 is going to be unbelievable. Keep tabs on the boys over at BLOG.COMEUPKIDS.COM/PROTON as they chronicle this journey they are about to take..

Well… what was supposed to come before COMEUPKIDS.COM, kind of took the backseat [ for now] This is a venture I have been working on for over a year now, basically a non-exclusive fashion/lifestyle management/marketing firm. I knew I could not do it alone… so my number one cheerleader was the first person I thought of to start this company with. Ms. Nicole Garner

And as for me.. Im bi-citial , between NYC and Atlanta.. devoting 110% to Proton, my brand, Comeupkids.com, still jobless, without a bed, haven’t had time to paint my apartment let alone do anything but buy a couch here, my dog is living better than I am, shes being loved by my sissy Jennifer Pauline ,shes been taking care of Skully since August, and I think she has no intentions of giving her back.. *sigh* I miss my dog!!! I appreciate Jenny soooo much, and she is the future of PR, so watch the fuck out … between her, Nicole Garner, and Lola Smalls Darling.. that would be a murder squad.

The man upstairs is looking out for me heavy, times are hard [ when I say times are hard, that means that I NEVER get to see my family, spend it with my girls, love the “bew”, be more spontaneous, take trips, and have the luxury of a consistent paycheck/income… best believe these savings are dwindling down], but when the good comes… I will appreciate it that much more. My name does not mean SACRIFICE for nothing. I understand the theory behind hard work paying off. I understand in order to reap the benefits, and gain the fruits of my labor, I must focus, I must work hard, I have to push myself to the point where it sometimes hurts, push myself harder to prove to my family, that me being a lawyer and having that “good Muslim, Arabic girl” lifestyle might have been OK for my 2 sisters, but it was not what was MAKTOUB for me [will define maktoub another day]. Man.. all I have to say is.. nothing I do is in vain, if you didn’t know.. now you do…

Anyways… been dreading going out in this NYC cold for the past 4 hours, so my day must start in these streets… meetings to go to .. places to see.. people to meet, oh the life of a jobless slacker trying to COME UP….
