Man, this song got played so much when it came out, but one memory stands the test of time.

I remember being in 3rd grade, crushing hard on DUSTIN, and going to the skating rink, with my best outfit on, Bonne Bell lip gloss poppin, overdoes on EXCLAMATION perfume, with Jennifer, Tricia, and Callie, and then the slow song for the night would come on.. and the MC would say..

“And this is for the couples only”

I would scan the room, find Dustin, our eyes meet, and then “RUSH” starts playing…holding my hand.. we go , skating our little hearts out into heaven. You couldn’t tell me this was NOT the boy that was going to be my prince… gazing into his eyes, and then..

WHAM! KABOOM!

I trip and sprain my ankle.

Then I moved and never saw Dustin again.
