Ok .. 3 weeks.. and I haven’t blogged.

It feels great. Maybe its me being semi “Nice” right now. I have been reckless with no updates.. but I promise.. my DRAFT folder has over 15 blogs that I have started and just deaded…

Went to Drinks [since I already had DinDin with Drop earlier] at No Mas… and it NEVER fails. No Mas is the ultimate “creep’n” spot. LOL.

I used to go there alot when they first opened.. and then winter hit and fell off… but its one of those spots where, its dope.. and if you want to take someone out and not be “seen” [but you fucking dumbass… your not the only one that creeps there] and still look like you got some sense of culture, you can def find yourself there .. but then folks like me come walking through knowing too many folks.. and on top of that the manager and some of the servers. So… yea… No Mas.. I have officially put on blast. So sorry to the dumbf#$%#s that thought they were being slick.. *shrug*

Things are great.. PROTON is amazing.. love my guys… they are doing amazingly well.. studio and new music is our priority.. and really looking outside of Atlanta at the bigger picture

I guess you can say I made the offical move back yesterday to Atlanta… minus my winter clothes.. and my beloved couch [ which im gonna figure out a way to bring down here] Im renting out my place in NYC for the summer and moving forward.. cant let go of that… and moving into my place June1st.. [ supposed to be May1st.. but shit happens] Stayin with T.. and im sure he is just about ready to kick me out… Jeff [ Jaspects manager] and his lovely significant other have Skully.. they were supposed to be only during the time PROTON went to Florida for their show… and now its goin on 2 weeks…

what the fuck did Jeff do to my dog… shes running and playing around now… hmmmm

 
 

Is it possible that I might be falling “in love” with LA.. and possibly make a move out there? I don’t know.. something about this trip made me think and feel a certain way about the west coast.. might be tempted on making that move even…….hmmm .. just a thought.. life wont be complete till I can say I lived in NYC and LA.. and then some spots overseas…..

Maybe its a false sense of having too good of a time… *shrug*

Well its been a minute… and for a good reason..

The WHOLE fam [Brittany,Matt,Ben,Drop, Salah, and Jessica] went out to LA for Proton show at the Temple Bar last week… and I can honestly say that was the best 4 days I have had in a LONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG time..

Being miles away from Atlanta, made me realize that we all needed this trip. We desrved it… really earned it… we have all being going sooooo hard.. no time to stop and enjoy what we are working on… our eyes on the prize.. that we never once stopped to see how blessed we are.. and even more so.. the blessings that are coming.. anyways..enough sappy shit..

We stayed with my good friend, David Fisher… an amazing Director.. he was the best host ever.. gave up his condo for all of us… gave me his truck to drive around in.. showed us around the city.. and played GPS system for me [lol]… couldnt ask for a better place to stay in the city… DOWNTOWN LA condo… with a rooftop that overlooks all the city…

Well.. before there was ever a Sloppy Seconds, Broke $ BouJee , a Good Life, Crew Love, Bang Bang Tribute Parties, or Art of Partying/Partake… there was “Cold Busted” and other “events” brought to you by Art Beats and Lyrics..

and who was the mastermind behind it??? JABARI GRAHAM [ I would link his myspace.. but its private.. typical]. A true Atlantan [ born and raised] that is creative and thinks outside the box [is it possible? lol]. But like many people that start a certain blueprint…. they never get the true credit and shine..

My thing is.. if you are attempting to bring Art+Music in the same event… best believe .. Mr.Graham has been on it for years… [ and hes the guy I did “The Goonies” movie screening.. and gonna be doing “Last Dragon” soon ]

Yes….everyone is quick to jump on this “movement” and “Scene” talk.. but my thing is.. do your homework.. there was a Hannibal before a Hannibal [but NOBODY does it like my Hannibal].. and his name was Zach Wolfe.. and even though you saw him at Sloppy “first” .. in all reality… Caleb found him at COLD BUSTED a year before…..and then Ian, Ree, and Caleb brought him [Zach] over to Sloppy Seconds.. and then Ian brought Hannibal over to Broke and BouJee.. and voila.. its all a revolving door….

I say this to say that … nothing any of us are doing is REVOLUTIONARY… but EVOLUTIONARY.. the dots have been connecting for years… its on us to take something and tweak it and make it our own… [i.e finding our own lane]

So when you see Mr.Graham… holler at the kid.. he can probably drop some valuable knowledge on ya [atleast on the event marketing,branding and creative things]… cause I know his opinion matters a ton to me.. [I went soft on you guys there]
