First let me apologize for the lack of updates. I realize I’ve been spending a bit too much time away from the site, internet in general really, and I can’t update from the sidekick (but I’m setting that up today so, no future worries). My apologies y’all. More frequent updates are coming real soon.

Anyway, Happy New Year to y’all! What’d y’all do? Where’d y’all go? I went to an event in SF called “Sneakers Required.” The event was hosted by Mos Def and sponsored by a few of the Bay Area’s re-known sneaker/streetwear boutiques. There were performances by Goapele and Mos Def. Catering by Papalote Mexican Grill. An OPEN bar that lasted almost as long as the party did. Tickets prices were steep into the pockets but it was well worth it. I truly had a lot of fun. I have a whole lot of photos to share with you so…enjoy!

Some of us missed the countdown because we were too busy stuffing our faces.

I know. I apologize again. I didn’t get his kicks. But in my defense, when Mos Def is in front of most women I doubt any of us would be looking at his shoes.

This is my friend Derek. A recent Clark Atlanta University graduate. Bay Area native. And now a writer/director for MTV. I was happy to see another Panther in the place.

Okay. So the next couple of pics are of the chicks in the spot. I was actually expecting more chicks to wear kicks but they didn’t. I was also expecting to see mainly dunks and converse but everyone kinda came with something new.
