It’s funny how you meet folks. Months ago I did a write up on this DJ in NYC called Dances With White Girls. After the write up I subsequently became “friends” with some of his myspace friends. One of those friends was this chick who’s myspace name is Baby Sinead (she’s another come up kid too) and through her I met this chick Yumna. Isn’t it crazy how myspace actually works?

Anyway, I read Baby Sinead’s blog quite frequently (she’s hella interesting) and through reading one day I found out her BFF Yumna also has a blog. From the very first post I found the blog Yumnaaa to be hilarious. It was at her blog that I was actually first introduced to her wonderful YouTube channel… and the goodtimes continue.

I’m kinda against Q&A’s but I’ll make an exception for the “gift from God”.

How are you feeling today?
Lazy! I’ve had such a hectic couple of weeks this has honestly been
the first time in ages I’ve been able to sit down and do my own thing!

What did you do last night?

Went over to my best friends apartment, we made some dinner together
and made some silly videos for an upcoming project we’re doing and
then we decided to go to chuck e. cheese! We made it in with just an
hour before it closed and grubbed on the all you can eat salad bar and
played MAD skeeball. Shit’s dope!

What does Yumna mean?
Pfft, hahaha. “A gift from God” I mean, my parents OBVIOUSLY knew I
was going to be awesome.

What prompted you to start making random YouTube videos?

Well, when I first moved to Florida from NYC I literally had NO
friends and way too much time on my hands. I’m also a huge nerd at
heart so I guess it was just a way to entertain myself. Haha. I never
meant for them to be anything big, but I guess people found me to be
funny!

What’s your GPA?
3.8! I’m booksmart too, people!

How old are you?

I’m 19 years old! November 21st. Scorpio, baby.

Where are you from? Where are your parents from?

I was born and raised in Washington, DC. My father is from Yemen and
my mom is from Egypt! I’m super middle eastern and I love it.

Why a lingerie line?
I love all aspects of sex and arousal and I’m also heavily into
fashion so I guess if you put those two together, you get lingerie! I
think it’s a beautiful means of sexual communication, I absolutely
love it.

If you could choose the way in which you were to get famous would it be from YouTube or the lingerie line?

Youtube, for sure!

When did you start sewing?

I’ve never been a big sewer, I’m much more into the designing aspect
and the lingerie itself, but I’ve been teaching myself to sew!
Practice makes perfect.
What is the official name of your business(es)?
Yumna will be the name of my basics line and Yumnasty will be the name
of the fetish and “sexier” lingerie

When will items be available?

Hopefully everything will be ready, stocked and for sale on my website
by next year!

Do you use myspace.com as a self-promoting tool or is it really a place for friends?

Funny story- I used to be a huge myspace whore (I’m talking huge,
5,000+ friends) and it was so obnoxious! I came to my senses and
realized how stupid I was and now myspace is REALLY just a place for
friends and whomever I find interesting enough to be a friend!

Name one thing most people would never know about you.

I’ve never had a boyfriend and don’t really have any interest in
changing that anytime soon!

So your close friends with Baby Sinead. She’s into porn. How’s that work?

I think it’s awesome! She’s my best friend, I full on support anything
and everything that makes her happy. She’s amazing at what she does
and I have mad respect for that!
