Benny Gold: In Gold We Trust
I think that you may be familiar with him but not familiar with him. You know his work but you don’t know him per say. Let’s see, you know that original HUF logo? The skyline?
Or how about those Hufquakes? When I was working at WISH we sold out of those mighty quick; in 5 or 6 hours I think.
He recently did a limited tee for The Hundreds welcome to the Bay. Anyway, Benny Gold does A LOT of designs for the streetwear brands we know and love like Stussy, Nike, The Hundreds, Adidas and even Levi’s (just to name a few). Many people unfamiliar with streetwear can’t seem to understand why we drop $50+ on a t-shirt or a ridiculous amount on sneakers. It’s the ARTWORK people… we’re walking canvases. And Benny is an amazing artist (no, I’m not just saying that because he lives in the Bay).
